Q&A – Is it best to plant Japanese boxwood or English boxwood in the Mid-South?

Asian (Japanese) boxwoods are the best option for the south-eastern United States. Dale Skaggs, Director of Horticulture at Dixon Gallery and Gardens says English boxwood can’t survive the hot, humid summers and heavy soils of the southeast.
