Old School difficulty is unlocked after clearing “Hard” difficulty. On Old School difficulty, you receive less damage than on “Hardcore” difficulty (the damage you receive is equal to “Hard” difficulty), but the “Down But Not Out” mechanic is removed, so when you get killed, it is final. I am artificially increasing the difficulty by not using the painkillers, which act as restorative items in this game. NOTE: In Chapters 2 and 3, I unknowningly had the “Golden Guns Effects” options turned on. The option is turned ON by default. I mistakenly assumed the Golden Guns were not texturing properly, and I therefore didn’t realize I was even using them. Golden Guns grant 10% damage boost and an extended ammo clip. Once I realized I had them on, I immediately turned the effects off. Thanks for understanding, as this is not a Golden Guns run whatsoever, with the minor exceptions just explained. Enjoy!
