The Batarian Scrapper is a very versatile character, capable to deal with virtually any threat he can meet on the battlefield and he is supremely qualified in melting armored targets. In my previous video ( • Mass Effect: Andromeda - Batarian Scrapper... ) I showed you my Batarian Scrapper build in action with the Hurricane SMG and today I’ll demonstrate how effective he is with a Shadow Siphon. First let me say thank you to the persons I played this match with. It was a great public lobby and we played together 4-5 amazing matches. I had so much fun it reminded me of the old Mass Effect 3 Multiplayer days. The Shadow has an interesting synergy with the Batarian Scrapper. At first you may thing the close range of Snape Freeze does not match nicely with a Sniper Rifle but the Shadow is a class a part from the other sniper rifle (which in Andromeda I’m not a huge fan of). The continuous stream of fire is golden for “Sustained Fire” passive and it will easily grant you the 24% debuff. Its long range allows you to start debuffing enemies before they reach Snape Freeze range: you can go with Sustained Fire debuff, Snap Freeze and then Flak Cannon But there is even more: thanks to the scope (which is a rather user friendly one compared to other sniper rifles) you can fire a long range Flak Cannon soon after Sustained Fire debuffed the target. Fire your Shadow, Flak Cannon, keep firing, Snap Freeze, Flak cannon: very little will survive and most of the times it would even be overkill. I’m not saying it’s much better than the high DPS Hurricane but it’s a good alternative in case you need a longer range option. Beside it’s easier to obtain the Siphon variant for the Rare Shadow than the Ultra Rare Hurricane. Depending on your play style it’s not uncommon for the Scrapper to be find himself under heave fire and a Siphon weapon is game changing on him. Sure, Hold the Line damage resistance helps a lot but the ability to restore your health is priceless. Talking about Hold the Line, I suggest to check the upload wave at 05:50 and most importantly the hack at 11:56 to see how amazing the 200 Damage Reduction from Hold the Line combined with the 100 Damage Reduction while evading is. If you have any question, feel free to ask. Thanks for watching :) Credits: Mass Effect, the related characters, names, concepts etc are Copyright of BioWare/EA.
