This is the first memory where you actually get to know the controls a little. You basically need to follow the white ghost. It'll show you exactly where to go. To get a full sync you'll need to perform a counter kill. When you are in fight with a guard, you can do so by holding "RT" (on Xbox) and to tap "X" when you see he starts to attack you.
