Thirupachur Vasheeswarar Temple | Thiruvallur

Vaseeswarar temple is a Hindu temple dedicated to Lord Shiva located at Thirupachur near Thiruvallur. Thiruvallur is situated at 50 km distance from Chennai. This is one of the 276 devar padal petra Shiva sthalam. Temple has many legends attached to it and is a very big complex. The temple has been praised by Thirunavukarasar, Thirugnanasambhandar and Ramalinga vallalar. The temple is more than a 1500 years old and was primarily built by Karikala Chola.
