The stock market was flying up and down because of Powell's discussion today. He was at an event with the Economic Club of Washington D.C. During this event, there were so many questions Powell answered. Some economy-related and some personal questions. It was a light-hearted interview, and Powell laughed a lot and seemed to enjoy himself. This is way different than the normal, overly-serious FOMC Powell. He reiterated a lot of the same exact stuff he has been saying. He said the feds would keep raising interest rates until inflation is closer to 2%. He also mentioned that inflation was falling down and would continue to this year. The market loved to hear that. He made sure to also say they would keep reacting to the data. So if the data changes, so can their views on certain parts of the economy. There are some amazing earnings to watch for tomorrow, Disney being our favorite.
