Forgiveness, redemption, and new life are gifts not meant to be kept to ourselves. When we let God work through us, we become vessels of His hope for others. In heaven, the angels declare, “Holy, Holy, Holy is the Lord of hosts; the whole earth is full of His glory.” Today, our worship is led by Brother Rajiv and his team as we lift our voices in songs of thanksgiving and praise—celebrating the gift of salvation and exalting the glorious name of our Lord. "At Grace Church, we welcome you to heartfelt worship and the true Word of God—join us in person or online, and stay updated by liking and tapping the bell icon." Communion Sunday February 23, 2025. Every born-again believer is encouraged to take part in Lord’s table- a sacred time of remembering Christ’s sacrifice for us. This Sunday Pastor Ivan Powar continues the message series that began on 16th February (2025) titled “Our Devotion in Salvation” digging deep into a key verse Romans 10:8-13 “whoever calls on the name of the Lord (in prayer) will be saved”. Also, pastor explained about the significance of community life for a Christian and what is god’s desire for human kind Introduction Salvation is not just a past event to celebrate but a present reality shaping our relationship with God and His church. Though personal, it thrives in community, as seen in Acts 2:42-47. Christian life cannot flourish in isolation—fellowship with believers nourishes spiritual growth and keeps us alive in faith. This “spiritual immunization” guards us from sin, temptation, and decline, protecting us from the enemy who seeks to steal, kill, and destroy. Who can be saved? • Romans 10:8-13 affirms that everyone who calls on the Lord will be saved • God does not decide who can or cannot be saved; In fact Jesus commands us (Matthew 28:19) to spread the gospel to all • God desires all to be saved, but accepts our free will • 1 John 1:9 promises forgiveness to the repentant Salvation brought by great sacrifice • After salvation/baptism, we should walk in the ways of the Lord and practice our salvation according to His word. • Salvation is bought by Jesus’ life and we should not take it in casual way. • He paid the greatest price on the cross of calvary to redeem us from our bondages Can our good deeds lead to salvation? • Ephesians 2:8-10 teaches salvation isn’t earned by good deeds. • God’s grace is for all and Jesus died for everyone. Even on the cross, Jesus prayed for forgiveness of His executioners. • Good deeds or faith alone don’t save us, unless we live in His grace. • Even Satan knows and believes, yet is unsaved, proving the fact that salvation requires more than belief. How to take care of salvation • Work out salvation with reverent fear and according to His Word. • Our lives should reflect Christ’s like character (2 Cor 3:2-3). • Seek God first (Matt 6:33), build spiritual life, walk with Him, and He will provide. Is faith in God is enough for a believer • We should add virtues from 2 Peter 1:5-9 to reflect Christ’s character. • Christian life requires daily growth, showing God’s transforming power. • Practicing these qualities keeps our faith fruitful and glorifies God. We may loose our salvation! • After salvation, walk in God’s ways through spending our time in His word and prayer. • “Once saved, always saved” is a myth. • Salvation is kept by walking with God and it can be lost. • It’s eternal, requiring right choices through His wisdom and guidance. Take home message: • God planned salvation for all before birth and it can be received by faith but not works. • “Once saved, always saved” is a myth. It needs daily practice. • Christian life thrives in fellowship as it focuses on eternal things, showing God’s transforming power. • Jesus paid the greatest price and so, reflect Him and share the gospel.
