SC orders time bound probe | India Development Debate | CBI vs CBI

It's a colossal mess at CBI, the country's top investigative agency! Casting clouds over the Modi Govt’s decision to sideline its top boss Alok Verma, the SC today assigned former judge AK Patnaik to monitor the probe against him by the Central Vigilance Commission. The CVC has also been told to finalise its findings within two weeks. Not just that: the top court has restrained acting CBI director Nageshwara Rao from taking any policy decision, even as it has asked him to submit a report on all his actions in the past three days to the apex court.
