Blanch the spinach in hot water for 2-3 minutes, then grind the lentils in cold water with green chilies and ginger (to a smooth paste). Now add flour, salt, cumin, carom seeds, and 1 tsp oil to a bowl. Mix the spinach paste into a tight dough (make it softer). Let the dough rest for 10 minutes. Make small balls and roll them into medium-thick puris. Heat oil in a pan and fry the puris on medium flame until they puff up and become crispy. Drain them on a tissue.
