If you are using fresh made Idlis, then you can refrigerate them for 30 minutes before using. #chilliidli #leftoveridli #snacks #food #recipe #indochinese #yummyinmytummy #tasty #kitchen #homemade Ingredients Capsicum 1 cubed, used green red and yellow mixed peppers Onion 1 chopped Idlis 10-12 Grated garlic 1 tsp Grated ginger 1 tsp Green chilli chopped 1 tsp Green onion, chopped 1 tbsp Chilly sauce 3 tbsp Soy sauce 1 tbsp Tomato Ketchup 2 tbsp Salt to taste Pepper powder 1/4 tsp or adjust Sugar 1 tsp Vinegar 1 tsp Oil to fry the idlis Corn flour 2 tbsp Rice flour 1 tbsp Water 1/3 cup Preparation 1. For this recipe leftover idlis are the best. 2. Cut the cold idlis into bite sized cubes. Mix corn flour, rice flour and little salt in a bowl and toss the idlis. Set aside for 5 minutes. 3. In the meantime chop onion, cubed bell pepper, slit or finely chop the green chillies and grate ginger and garlic and set aside. 4. For Air Fryer: preheat the air fryer to 350 degree F for 3 minutes. Place the idlis in the basket and spray them with non stick spray. Cook it for 10 minutes or until golden brown and crips. Don’t forget to shake the basket. 5. For stovetop frying: Heat oil for shallow frying the idlis in medium flame. They should become golden brown and crisp. You can deep fry Idlis too. 6. Heat a saucepan, when it’s hot, put some oil. Add grated ginger garlic and chopped green chilli saute well for 2 minutes. 7. Add chopped onions, bell peppers, salt, and sauté for couple of minutes. Add all the sauces and mix it well. Add sugar, vinegar and water to it. 8. Add the fried idlis and mix gently and sprinkle some spring onions, mix gently and cook on a medium flame for couple of minutes. Turn off the heat and serve chili idly hot with lemon wedges.
