S. Korea to repatriate rescued N. Korean sailors

정부, 동해서 포류 중 구조된 북한 선원 19일 북으로 인도할 계획, 북과 연락 시도 중 Seoul says it's planning to repatriate eight North Korean sailors rescued earlier in the week by the Coast Guard. The unification ministry said Thursday,... three North Korean fishing boats were spotted on Sunday and Monday drifting in waters off South Korea's east coast. The boats had malfunctioning engines, snapped tow ropes and were engaged in a clash with Chinese vessels. The eight sailors who survived have all expressed a desire to return to North Korea and will be sent home on Monday. It said some of the sailors died, but as there are no bodies, it cannot say how many. Seoul also said Pyongyang has not yet responded to the messages it has sent through the dialogue channel at Panmunjom and its military hotline,... but will try again this afternoon and expects a reply.
