As with all the legendary animals, don’t mess about. Use dead eye to get a headshot with the buffalo rifle. Do not fast travel to close to the spawn point as this seems to stop them appearing, ride from the nearest town on your horse. Note Brumas seems to be the only opponent in the game who can survive a headshot from the Buffalo Rifle, requiring two to take down. Make sure you have time to reload! Brumas’ cave is also the location for the final Treasure Hunter Challenge so you can pick this up whilst you are there. Note sometimes Brumas spawns to the South of Nekoti Rock before the path up to it rather than in the cave, so be on the look out. Completing these challenges unlocks the Legend of the West Outfit.
