Paul Albert Anka born july 30 1942 is a canadian pop and rock singer, acter and song writer. it's said that paul anka fell in love with his baby sitter diana, which accounts for the song he later wrote and sang called diana in 1957 that brought him immediate success in the pop world, charting at number 1 in many countries. everyone who knows paul anka would have heard of his big hit diana. and so in the fifties, we had such hits like "i love you baby", don't gamble with love, crazy love and adam an eve. in the early sixties, there were more hits such as my home town, lonely boy, tonight my love tonight, and dance on little girl. then after 1963, he went off the charts for some time until the mid seventies when he came out with more hits like having my baby, one man woman, i don't like to sleep alone and times of my life. when paul anka switch labels from ABC-paramount to RCA victor, he re-recorded many of his old hits but they were far from the original release under ABC-paramount. this is his original first recording of his hit dance on little girl which he wrote himself both tune and lyrics. he became a naturalised u.s. citizen in 1990. paul anka has been married 3 times and has 6 children.
