Learn Jaco Pastorius’ TEEN TOWN (Pt.1) ✅ Use YouTube’s “Loop Video” and “Playback Speed” in the ⚙️control settings⚙️ for a great way to practice & get this piece up to tempo‼️ 📌 My notation here differs only slightly from the “Real Book” notation. I’ve included a grace note and other embellishments etc., as well as a couple of 16th note rests, because I tend to hear those sections as more staccato (to me). 🤌👀 If you’re watching my fingerings, *I tend to use my pinky-finger for a Major 2nd stretch when I play slowly. A stretch typically played by the ring-finger… 📍So those “three-note chromatic-runs” are still just that, —three chromatic notes (in succession). 🎸There are MANY recordings of Jaco/Weather Report playing this and all of them vary slightly.
