This is video #009 in my playthrough of Final Fantasy V Pixel Remaster on Steam. Final Fantasy V Pixel Remaster Playlist: • Final Fantasy V Pixel Remaster [PC] Playth... Previously, the party explored the Library of the Ancients south of Karnak. There, they learned the Ifrit summon. Then, they defeated Byblos and rescued Mid, Cid's grandson. Afterwards, they did some grinding. Faris learned the job command !Control, which is helpful for learning many Blue Magic spells. Now, the party will revisit Cid in Karnak. This will lead to them getting a new form of transportation. Then, they will do some more grinding so they can safely learn Level 5 Death. I start by showing the current state of the Bestiary. Then, I load the game. World Map (time 0:44): The party resumes outside Karnak. They enter town. Karnak (time 1:11): The party goes to the armory. They pick up a couple more Mythril Swords, a Mytrhil Spear, and another Kunai. Then, they go to the pub. When they go upstairs to Cid's room, a scene with Cid and Mid takes place. Eventually, Cid and Mid leave to start working on the Fire-Powered Ship. The party leaves town. World Map (time 5:05): They board the Fire-Powered Ship. Fire-Powered Ship (time 5:12): As the party steps onto the ship's deck, a scene with Mid and Cid takes place. The party continues into the cabin for a scene with Galuf. He has finally begun to remember his past, and he has quite a tale. After the scene, the party gains control on deck. They talk to Mid and then Cid for another scene. World Map (time 10:37): The party now has control of the Fire-Powered Ship! They can sail all over the world. However, as yet, they cannot sail to the interior seas near Tycoon and Walse. For now, the party begins grinding in the seas between Karnak and the crescent-shaped island in the southeast. In the first battle, Faris uses Transfusion to knock herself out so she does not level past Level 20. The other three will be getting up to Level 21 so they can learn Level 5 Death from Page 64 in the library. In the seas near Karnak and the Library of the Ancients, the party can encounter Sahagin and Thunder Anemones. Note that Thunder Anemones absorb lightning-elemental damage. In the sea south of Tycoon and Walse, the party can also encounter Sea Ibises. Bartz reaches Ninja Level 3 and masters "First Strike". This ability boosts the chances of having the first attack in encounters. The party docks near the Library of the Ancients and enters the library. Library of the Ancients (time 18:13): The party chats with the NPCs on 1F, who have new dialogue. Cid and Mid are studying in the southeastern part of 1F. Mid has a useful clue about where to go next, story-wise. On 2F, the party uses the healing pot. Then, they leave the library. World Map (time 19:54): Faris kills herself off again with Transfusion. Then, the party continues grinding in the sea near the library. Bartz reaches Level 21. Lenna and Galuf reach Level 21. The party returns to the Library of the Ancients. Library of the Ancients (time 28:17): The party uses the healing pot. Then, on 1F, they go to B1. In the darkened area beyond B1, the party encounters a Page 64 and learns the Blue Magic spell Level 5 Death. At least one party member's level must be a multiple of 5, but not everyone should have such a level! Otherwise, it will be game over. Galuf reaches Summoner Level 4 and masters "!Summon Lv. 4". He changes his job to White Mage and equips "!Summon Lv. 4". The party continues deeper into the library. Lenna reaches Red Mage Level 2 and masters "!Red Magic Lv. 2". Eventually, the party encounters a Page 256. This enemy has a second Blue Magic spell to learn besides Moon Flute. To learn it, the party needs !Control. Faris gains control of it and has it cast Off-Guard on her. At the end of this battle, the party learns the Blue Magic spell Off-Guard. Afterwards, the party backtracks out of the library's lower levels. They do not yet have a spell that will let them escape dungeons. On 2F, they use the healing pot again. Finally, they leave the library. World Map (time 45:17): Now that the party has Level 5 Death, they have an easy but cheesy way to defeat a difficult enemy for the Bestiary. They sail east and north to the Karnak Meteorite. When they arrive, they dock and enter the meteorite area. Karnak Meteorite (time 47:20): The party goes inside the meteorite and uses the warp panel to go to the Walse Meteorite. Walse Meteorite (time 47:38): The party goes outside and leaves the meteorite area. World Map (time 48:13): The party board Hiryu and flies south to Walse. They land and enter the castle.
