Thyroid RFA radio frequency ablation pre-and post interview 4 weeks with patient by Sean Nikravan MD

In this short 5min video, we represent a very nice patient who had a 2.71 cm left side of thyroid nodule compressing his left the current laryngeal nerve which led to his hoarseness. After determining his candidacy for thyroid radiofrequency ablation he underwent a procedure successfully and during the procedure his hoarseness resolved as we were able to lift a large 2.71 cm which was compressing his left left recurrent laryngeal nerve controlling his voice. Four weeks post ablation his nodule decreased to 1.85cm. This is a great outcome and only four weeks as we expect to continue to see progressive reduction in the following 3 to 6 month and 12 month follow-up. Patient had an outstanding outcome like our many other patients and he was able completely avoided surgical resection of his left thyroid lobe. A win-win situation.
