Pair Plead Guilty in Mobile “Torture Room” Child Abuse Case A Mobile man accused of keeping a “torture room” inside his Midtown home has pleaded guilty to multiple child‑sex charges. Forty‑year‑old Adam James Renk entered a blind plea on January 6, 2026, admitting to first‑degree sodomy, first‑degree sexual abuse, and sexual abuse of a child younger than 12. He told the court he was pleading guilty only because he believed it was in his best interest. He faces up to life in prison and still has pending charges in Oregon. Co‑defendant Natasha Dee Still pleaded guilty to aggravated child abuse. Prosecutors said Natasha allowed an 11‑year‑old girl to be restrained inside Adam’s home. She received a 15‑year sentence, with all but one year suspended, and will serve five years of supervised probation. Investigators alleged Adam maintained a “torture room” and restrained and paddled the child for sexual gratification. The case triggered a U.S. Marshals search before Adam surrendered in October 2024. Sentencing is set for February 11, 2026.
