Maria Sharapova beats Anastasija Sevastova in straight sets as the Russian on Australian Open return

Maria Sharapova is through to the third round of the Australian Open on her return to Melbourne after beating Anastasija Sevastova in straight sets. Sharapova made short work of her opponent in the match's opening set - taking just 23 minutes to claim it 6-1. Sevastova proved more stubborn in the second and forced a tie-break but Sharapova won it 7-4.
