I understand there has never been a message like this before between leaders of the two Koreas...? 1a - Why do you think Kim has sent this message now? 2 - We know that Kim will be delivering a New Year's Day speech on Tuesday, laying out the regime's policy direction for the year ahead. What do you think this message to President Moon says about what will be in the New Year's Day speech? 3 - The speech comes while talks between North Korea and the U.S. over the regime's denuclearization remain stalled. Do you think Kim will address that tomorrow, or will that be a card he keeps for negotiations later? 4 - Although the Blue House has given certain details about the letter, they have not released it in full. Why do you think that is and what else do you think would have been in that letter? 5 - Do you think Kim would have sent a letter to other nations as well, such as China or even the U.S.? 6 - If we look back at this time last year, we could not have imagined everything that's happened since: three inter-Korean summits, the first ever North Korea-U.S. summit, and various inter-Korean exchanges. But despite this, some would argue not that much has changed because North Korea has yet to give up any nuclear weapons and hasn't made any real moves to start either.
