‎Venezuela’s National Bolivarian Armed Forces began a new phase of nationwide military exercises on Tuesday (November 11), called the “Superior Phase of Independence Plan 200,” amid escalating tensions with the United States. ‎ ‎The drills, broadcast on Venezuelan public television, involved operations across states including La Guaira, Amazonas, Bolivar, Merida, Trujillo, Zulia, and Caracas. ‎ ‎Tensions have increased after the U.S. conducted over a dozen strikes on vessels near Venezuelan waters since September, reportedly killing more than 70 people.
