Real-time events are depicted in this movie. SYNOPSIS: After colliding with an iceberg and suffering damage to at least six compartments, the Titanic is doomed. The Titanic can only withstand up to five damaged compartments; the ship's first six were flooding, and as a result, the Titanic started to sink. Only half of the ship's 2,208 passengers can fit in the lifeboats that are launched in an attempt to save everyone. By about 2:20 AM, the ship sinks, leaving hundreds of people dead. Before help arrives, the survivors must wait for another hour or more.
