Water cannon fired on protesters in Naypyitaw

(18 Feb 2021) Myanmar police used water cannon on anti-coup protesters in the capital city Naypyitaw on Thursday, after trapping them between two roadblocks, according to an eye witness. Some of the demonstrators were arrested after they tried to flee down side streets. The demonstration took place where a young woman was critically injured during a mass protest on February 9, by what appears to have been a shot fired from police lines. Police confiscated the motorbikes of those involved in the demonstration.
