Prelude (Colin Bonneau) News and announcements Candle lighting We begin our worship by lighting candles that symbolize so much! God our Creator, Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit’s breath in our lungs. Center yourselves now in the Love of God which came with you today and will leave with you after worship. Call to Worship Come to worship. We come to open our hearts and to humble our spirits. Not because we are lower than anyone else but to remind us God alone is God. We come to remember we are not in control of all things – nor is perfection what God requires. God seeks kind and humble hearts and minds. We come to worship our Compassionate God. Opening Prayer (inspired by Psalm 131) O God we come to worship, May our hearts not by haughty. May our eyes not be raised too far to unknown horizon. We come to worship to be reminded you are God. Help us not occupy ourselves with things too great or out of our control. Come God and calm and quiet our souls, like a child quieted at its mother’s breast; like a child that is quieted ...make my soul serene.
