Sonic 1 IL Speedrun - Scrap Brain Zone 2 in 0:13 (World Record)

Yeah boii! Got this as my 1st 0:13 with the ending ceiling clip, after an hour and 20 minutes of play, with 8 0:13s with missed ceilings. I'm not going to lie, I was deliberately putting off this record for as long as I possibly could because unlike the 0:14 strat, this particular strat wasn't documented as well. After coming up short while testing potential 0:13 pace zips a while back, I was dreading having to test multiple possible permutations of specific frame presses to get the right speed/(sub)pixel positioning to manage to clip into the wall. Fast forward to just a week ago, and Zurggriff shows a new 0:13 strat with instructions on how to achieve it, this time is now too easy to ignore: After practice, you will be hitting this trick roughly every 2-3 minutes, and compared to the original 0:13 strat, it's also faster as well. One thing worth noting is that from what was left over to test, I can't see any way to break the 0:13 barrier: With all things considered, this strat not only reduced the frame perfect jump number by 1 compared to the original, but also managed to get a 4-rotation clip as opposed to a 5. The best case scenario ending with this strat will net 0:13:38, so 39 frames would need to be saved. The fastest start compared to this strat is 7 frames faster, but there isn't a clip setup known to be possible here. You would also save ~30 frames from a 3-rotation clip but the problem with that is that not only is the speed gained from 3 rotations just slightly too slow to clip through the wall, it wouldn't be 30 frames exactly either because the speed you jump off is also slower than 4 rotations. So even if this were the case, it would still give you a max best time of 0:13:01, 2 frames off a possible 0:12. While there is that ridiculous 0:11 TAS strategy, that isn't human-possible in any way, shape or form. Also lmao @ being able to reuse GHZ2's thumbnail
