Ferrari SF-26 x Lewis Hamilton in action at Fiorano Circuit for a Pirelli F1 Wet Tyres 2027 Test!

After the Suzuka test with Red Bull and Racing Bulls, Pirelli is continuing its development programme for the 2027 tyres with two dedicated test sessions scheduled during this month. The first will be a test dedicated to wet tyres with Ferrari at their home track, which can be artificially watered using the dedicated irrigation system that characterizes the Fiorano facility. A test that took place today with Lewis Hamilton behind the wheel and will continue tomorrow, possibly with Charles Leclerc. The focus of this test is both intermediate and full wet tyres, while the so-called super-intermediate compound will not be used, despite the possibility that it could eventually become the sole wet-weather tyre option in the future. Lewis did a couple of initial stints on the experimental dry/slick tyres this morning and then switched to try both wet tyres, putting in some nice stints of around 10 laps each. Pirelli's work won't be limited to the Fiorano wet session in April.
