Thanking US for Arms Sales
President Tsai Ing-wen welcomed members of the National Committee on American Foreign Policy today. She stressed that Taiwan will continue to work with the US in maintaining regional peace and stability. The president thanked the Trump government for approving the sale of weapons to Taiwan in June, saying it reflected ongoing US support for the Taiwan Relations Act. She spoke again about her commitment to military reform and to strengthening Taiwan''s national defense.
