Gani Khawaja, the chief of terrorist outfit Al-Badr, was killed in an encounter on Tuesday evening in Sopore in north Kashmir’s Baramulla district. IGP-Kashmir Range Vijay Kumar said, called it “a big success”. Incriminating materials including arms and ammunition were recovered from the encounter spot. A search operation is on. Khawaja was one of the “most wanted” terrorists in Kashmir Valley.
