Grattan Institute Senior Associate Joey Moloney says housing is a “major driver” of income and wealth inequality in Australia. “When you look at income inequality and how its changed over the last few decades, it looks pretty stable,” Mr Moloney told Sky News Australia. “When you take into account housing costs, you see a dramatic increase in after housing costs income inequality.”
