Valaika relishing his time with Rockies, Isotopes

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M.- The life of a professional baseball player has it's up's and downs and nobody knows that better than Pat Valaika. Since March 23, he's gone back and forth, five times, between the Rockies and Isotopes. “It's been good just trying to continue my approach, you know, wherever I’m at and it seems to be going good so just got to keep doing it," Valaika said. So far, Valaika has played 17 games with the Rockies and 20 games with the Isotopes. The experience is preparing the southern California native for a chance to play full time in the majors. “Every day is a learning opportunity,” Valaika said. “I just try and focus on being where my feet are so if that's in Denver, if that's here, just trying take the win wherever I can.”
