Metal School - Kix
Formed in Hagerstown, Maryland, in 1977, hard rock band Kix are best known for the power ballad "Don't Close Your Eyes" but they deserve way more attention than they get for their high-energy, high-tempo metal and rock songs of the mid- to late-80s. Mismanaged by Atlantic Records, Kix would run into financial problems as well as creative differences within the band before grunge would take over in the early 90s.
