2021 Scovan's International Women's Day Event

Scovan Engineering is proud to present its 3rd Annual International Women's Day Forum! Our theme this year is "Choose to Challenge". International Women’s Day celebrates the economic, cultural, and political achievements of women across the globe. The day focuses on unity, equality and advocacy. In celebration of International Women’s Day, Scovan is bringing together female industry leaders to participate in a virtual event to highlight women’s achievement in the energy industry, raise awareness against biases and highlight the accomplishments we have made thus far. Our speakers will be discussing their personal experiences and how they have demonstrated resilience during challenging times and to share their individual journeys towards their path to success. A challenged world is an alert world and from challenge comes change. So, let's all choose to challenge. Keynote Speakers: Andrea Decore, LLB, Vice-President of Strategy and Corporate Development, Suncor Energy. Andrea has been with Suncor Energy for over 10 years and is responsible for corporate strategy, capital allocation, project governance, project economics, mergers & acquisitions, new business development and strategic commercial opportunities. Gayathri Shukla, P.Eng, MBA, Manager, Digital Mine Strategy and Innovation, Transformation Management Office, Suncor Energy. Gayathri holds an electrical engineering degree from the University of Calgary, and an Executive MBA from Queen’s University. With over 16 years of experience, Gayathri currently leads digital mining strategy and innovation programs at Suncor Energy. Shana Boyd, P.Eng, Senior Manager of Engineering - Conventional Pipelines Business Unit, Pembina Pipeline Corp. Shana started her career in engineering consulting and has held progressively more senior roles in the upstream energy business. With over 20 years' experience, Shana is currently responsible for systems designs and optimization and capital project execution for the conventional pipelines business unit at Pembina.
