After a particularly challenging few months at work, I found myself dreading the walk every morning, from my bedroom to living room, followed by 8 hours of sitting in front of the laptop screen, wishing I was doing something else. On 14 March 2022, I spoke to my manager to discuss my state of mind and my request for a 6-month sabbatical was approved the very next day. I have no big adventures planned, except to use this time to recalibrate and reconnect to myself. Every single day can look a little different as I decide in the moment what I feel like doing. I am so grateful for the support from my employer to take this much-needed break. Here's a little snippet of how I spent one of these days.
