OldGuyDIY Remove Fix Repair Rusted Frozen GM Caliper Bolt Fire Wrench Pipe Leverage

This OldGuyDIY video shows the technique i used to remove a rusted, frozen caliper bolt from the caliper of a Michigan driven 2001 Chevy suburban 1500. The T55 socket tore the engagement surfaces out of the bolt head. Next, I applied PB Blaster and tried to remove it with a vice grip attached to the bolt shaft. I then cut the bolt off and ground flats on two sides to allow a better grip with a wrench. Four minutes with the torch was next. No luck. At that point, I stuck an 18" Craftsman bar with a 12" pipe into the middle of the caliper and put a pipe wrench with a 30" piece of pipe on the bolt. With two guys ready to have a hernia, we heard a pop and the bolt turned. In this battle of man and machine, man won. Good luck.
