My last day in Goa and so decided to explore another side of Goa. The plan was to ride around old Goa, have lunch and then go ferry hopping and see a sunset. With this plan I left my room. On the way to Ribandar ferry from old Goa my accelerator cable broke and my plan went for a toss. For the Motoverse event Royal Enfield had tied up with Europ Assistance for roadside assistance for all the bikers registered for the event. When my cable broke, I called them for assistance. The guy I spoke to was very helpful and tried to find solution - connecting to a garage to send a mechanic, organising a tow truck to get my bike to a workshop etc. But unfortunately the Motoverse event had placed a huge unexpected load on their services and I was offered a tow truck in about 4 hours’ time. So after waiting for about 1.5 hours on the roadside, I decided to try my luck. There was an ice cream parlour on the other side of the road and so I walked in and enquired about any 2 wheeler workshop close by. As luck would have it, there was one just behind the shop. The mechanic checked and informed that he did not have an accelerator cable in stock and went to get one. My bike was ready in the next half an hour and I ride to the old Goa ferry, instead of the Ribandar ferry. I took the ferrry to Divar island and by then it was already dark. From there I rode to the Divar ferry through some beautiful country roads and took the ferry and then rode back to my room. All in all, an adventurous day, but got to see another side of Goa!! #ridermania #adventure #royalenfield #motoverse2023 #motoverse #europassistance #oldchapel #goatemples
