Scene Context The scene takes place on the planet Geonosis. These characters are the key antagonists in this installment of the saga. Count Dooku (played by Christopher Lee) is a former Jedi Master who turned to the dark side and took the name Darth Tyranus. He is the leader of the Confederacy of Independent Systems (Separatists) and secretly works with Darth Sidious. Jango Fett is a legendary bounty hunter and the genetic blueprint for the Galactic Republic's Clone Army. He was hired by Dooku to assassinate Senator Padmé Amidala and later participated in the Battle of Geonosis, where he was killed by Mace Windu. The B2 Super Battle Droid is an upgraded, more durable version of the standard B1 battle droids, the backbone of the Separatist army. The entire scene takes place in a droid factory on Geonosis, just before the outbreak of the Clone Wars and the great battle at the Petranaki Arena.
