Jack Tramiel's inexpensive, immensely popular Commodore computers helped ignite the personal computer industry. The Commodore 64 dominated the home computer market of the 1980s. It shipped more than 20 million units – an astonishing number at the time – and was often described as the bestselling computer of all time.
