Hiking the Appalachian Trail to Charlies Bunion in the Great Smoky Mountains

Join us on our epic Thanksgiving break adventure in Gatlinburg, Tennessee and the Great Smoky Mountains National Park! We kicked things off with some good friends and a thrilling ride on the alpine coaster to get the fun started and then followed it up with a terrific Thanksgiving dinner. The next morning, we headed into the Great Smoky Mountains National Park and hiked the Appalachian Trail out to Charlies Bunion and let me tell you, the trail was seriously iced over in many spots! The snow and ice made our 8-mile hike stretch out to about 6.5 hours, but the views were absolutely worth it! Despite the chilly temps around 16 to 20 degrees and wind chill in the single digits, we had an amazing time on this hike!
