According to Chinese media reports, jet features technologies from China's J-20 Stealthy Jet and upgrades in electronic devices that will significantly increase its combat efficiency. These technologies include a large holographic wide-angle head-up display and integrated cockpit display as well as an advanced infrared missile approach warning system. It also includes a Chinese-developed active electronically scanned array radar system and an upgraded engine which will allow it to see further and engage some 30 targets simultaneously as well as be equipped with more ordnance over its predecessors. These new technological additions can give pilots more situational awareness, allowing them to focus more on combat. JF-17 Thunder is a Light-Weight Single-Engine Multi-Role Fighter Jet developed jointly by Pakistan and China. Pakistan will utilise Brazilian-developed MAR-1 Guided Missiles for anti-radiation roles.
