On the spot his tongue hit Pit, there were strange seeds sprinkled all over it that burned his taste buds something fierce. "W-what the...?" Chris trailed off. "A-HA! Viridi's suggestion worked! I have rubbed spicy peppers all over my body to keep his tongue from working!" Pit said. True to what he said, his body had a somewhat glossy shine to it, with several loose pepper seeds stuck on some random spots. Though effective in theory, it also had the side effect of making Pit's eyes leak tears nonstop. "Now Greninja will have to think of something else if he wants to lash me with his tongue!" "Wow... I didn't think you'd actually rub yourself with peppers," Palutena said. Viridi was too busy giggling madly to talk. "Yup! Even my wings are coated!" Pit said, his eyes turning red from the smell. "You should be very careful, Pit. Pepper water takes time to wash off," Chris said. "I should know. I cut peppers and take the seeds out wearing disposable gloves. Pit better not rub his eyes or else he's going to scream." Pit rubbed his eyes when he couldn't handle his leaking tears. "Why is it so bad t-AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!!! IT BUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUURNS!!!" Pit screamed, his eyes burning with the pepper water getting in them. He quickly dropped on the floor in pain and tried his best to remember the direction of the water fountain to crawl his way there. Unfortunately, he stupidly crawled off from the bridge and fell down into the clouds below, his scream slowly fading away. Holding his eyes with his pepper water-coated hands was not exactly the smartest thing to do while he fell down. Greninja had fled to said fountain to wash off the seeds and the burning taste from his tongue, looking quite panicked with his hands quickly brushing his tongue quickly. Viridi hollered with her laughs, dropping on the floor and holding her sides. "The one time I don't like Pit listening to Viridi," Palutena said, pinching the bridge between her eyes. "...And now we have to disinfect the fountain water too." Chris sighed. "I keep telling Greninja he shouldn't be so proud of using his tongue as a weapon. I know things like this will keep happening to him..." he muttered in shame. No one bothered to go fetch Pit. As it turned out, getting a stock knocked out did restore his vision, though the pepper water was still lingering on his body that he pretty much kept his hands as far away from his eyes as he could for the rest of the excruciating match. The match continued, but not without having Pit and Greninja suffering from Pit still being a hazard to eyes and tongues alike... "I should have suggested to rub himself with ghost peppers," Viridi said, finally recovering from her loud laughs. "Now, now.
