Kicking Off Time Trials! | 2022 Top Dog Championships at Summit Point

The annual Rally4Vets is a motorsports program that funds free service dogs for veterans struggling with PTSD. Rally4Vets is a key element in veteran suicide prevention. One element of the Rally4Vets program is a Trackcross. Our Trackcross event puts one driver on the track at a time, giving that driver a clear track to turn their best lap. Drivers compete against cars in their class and in their experience level - novice drivers and experienced drivers only against each other. Drivers compete for individual medals in their class. But, here's the real fun: drivers sign up and compete on military service teams; i.e., think Army-Navy football but on a race track! Here's the format for our Summit Point Motorsports Event: We have grid space for 80 drivers Drivers sign up to drive for one of the services and compete individually and as teams: Army, Navy, Air Force, Marine Corps, Coast Guard, Space Force, United States Public Health Commissioned Corps, National Oceanic, and Atmospheric Administration Commissioned Officer Corps Drivers compete for individual medals in their car and experience classes Individual points are combined into overall team scores to determine the Top Dog Champion for the year. That Service team is inscribed on the Top Dog Trophy and team members are honored on the DVEN.org and Rally4Vets.com websites. BTW, you don't need a race car. You can use your daily driver. What you DON'T need to participate: 1 - A race car. You can use your daily driver. 2 - A race license. You only need to be 18 years or older and have a valid driver's license 3 - Racing experience. There is only one driver on the track at a time and we have instructors to ride with you if you have no experience. 4 - Special safety equipment. You only need a current helmet.
