Palestine Action: UK’s Biggest Prison Hunger Strike in 40 Years!

Eight young Palestine Action activists are on an open-ended hunger strike inside UK prisons. Since 2 November 2025, seven Palestine Action prisoners have refused food - with an eighth fasting intermittently - protesting prolonged imprisonment without trial, severe prison censorship, and being labelled “terrorists” for protesting arms companies linked to Israel. Some Palestine Action prisoners have been jailed for over a year without conviction. Others face trials delayed until 2026–2027. At least five hunger strikers have been hospitalised. Doctors warn the strike has reached a potentially fatal stage. This is now the largest coordinated prison hunger strike in Britain since 1981 - yet for weeks it was barely covered by mainstream media. The Palestine Action prisoners say they do not seek martyrdom. They are demanding bail, fair trials, an end to prison censorship, the removal of the terrorism label, and an end to UK complicity in Israel’s war on Gaza. As their health deteriorates, one question remains: Will the UK government act - or wait for tragedy? Until next time, stay informed, stay in the struggle ✊ #qesserzuhrah #AmuGardinerGibson #hebamuraisi #JonCink #teutahoxha #kamranahmed #MuhammadUmerKhalid #LewieChiaramello #hungerstrike #politicalprisoners #keirstarmer #FreePalestine #StopArmingIsrael #ElbitSystems #solidarityreports
