Lon Chaney Replaces Injured Glenn Strange as the Monster: "Abbott & Costello Meet Frankenstein"

In this popular Abbott & Costello comedy, Lon Chaney reprises his most famous role, the Wolf Man. Meanwhile, Glenn Strange makes his third consecutive appearance as the Frankenstein Monster. But in a climactic scene, Strange breaks his ankle while tossing a stuntwoman through a window. So Chaney, who hasn't played the Monster since "Ghost of Frankenstein" (1942), gets into the makeup and finishes the scene for Strange.
