I traveled to Xi'an — one of China's four ancient capitals and one of the most historically significant cities on the planet. This is the city where the Silk Road began. Where the Terracotta Army has stood for over 2000 years. Where ancient walls still wrap around a modern city that never forgot where it came from. I had no idea what to expect walking in.
