It is located about 35 km from Jagdalpur, inside the Kanger Valley National Park. The waterfall is formed by the Mugabahar River, which flows down in multiple steps, creating a spectacular milky-white cascade. The waterfall falls from a height of around 300 feet in several tiers, making it unique and very scenic. During the monsoon season, Tirathgarh Waterfall becomes extremely powerful and mesmerizing, while in winter it looks calm and crystal clear. Green forests, rocky cliffs, and fresh air add to its natural beauty. A well-built staircase allows visitors to go down near the waterfall and enjoy the view closely. The sound of falling water and the cool mist create a peaceful and refreshing atmosphere. Tirathgarh Waterfall is also considered sacred by local tribes, and a small Shiva temple is located nearby.
