In the world of Demon Slayer, the cycle of death is relentless, and fate spares very few. From the very beginning, the stage is drenched in tragedy — Tanjiro Kamado, a kind-hearted boy selling charcoal to support his family, returns home one day to find them slaughtered. The culprit behind this unspeakable act is Muzan Kibutsuji, the first and most powerful demon, who kills Tanjiro’s entire family save for his younger sister, Nezuko, whom he turns into a demon. This act sets into motion the entire story, where vengeance and justice blur in the blood-stained snow. Tanjiro's quest brings him face to face with many demons, but also with comrades — the Demon Slayer Corps. Among the most powerful of these warriors are the Hashira, each burdened with their own pasts and destinies. One of the most memorable deaths comes early, during the Mugen Train arc, when Flame Hashira Kyojuro Rengoku confronts Akaza, an Upper Rank Three demon. Despite Rengoku’s overwhelming strength and spirit, he is fatally wounded. Akaza, impressed yet undeterred, escapes, leaving Rengoku to die with pride but immense sorrow. Rengoku’s death is a pivotal moment — it marks the beginning of an escalation where the demon slayers begin to pay higher and higher prices. The demons of the Upper Moons, each more monstrous and twisted than the last, fall one by one, but not without claiming lives. Daki and Gyutaro, two siblings sharing the position of Upper Rank Six, terrorize the Entertainment District. Though they are ultimately defeated by the combined efforts of Tanjiro, Zenitsu, Inosuke, and the Sound Hashira Tengen Uzui, their story is steeped in sorrow — revealing the trauma that led to their demonic transformation. Despite surviving the battle, Tengen retires, deeply injured and mentally scarred, a sign of the cost victory always carries. Doma, the cold and fanatical Upper Rank Two, is responsible for the death of Kanae Kocho, the former Flower Hashira, and later kills her younger sister, Shinobu Kocho, the Insect Hashira. But Shinobu, always calculating, ensures her death is not in vain — she saturates her body with a lethal amount of wisteria poison, which weakens Doma enough for her protégée Kanao and Inosuke to finish him off. In this moment,o vengeance flows not from rage, but through cunning and sacrifice. Doma dies, ironically feeling a strange, almost human sensation — regret. Meanwhile, Akaza, the killer of Rengoku, meets his end in the depths of the Infinity Castle. He battles Tanjiro and Giyu Tomioka in a brutal and emotional clash. Although physically overwhelmed, it is not brute force that ends Akaza’s existence. Instead, it is his own buried humanity — memories of his tragic human past, his fiancée, and his real name — that shatter his will to regenerate. In the end, Akaza allows himself to die, choosing peace over eternal violence. The story crescendos toward the final battle against Muzan Kibutsuji, the origin of all demons. The Infinity Castle becomes a slaughterhouse, a collapsing battlefield where demons and humans alike fall like dominoes. Muichiro Tokito, the young Mist Hashira, is killed after delivering a fatal blow to Kokushibo, the Upper Rank One and the most powerful of Muzan’s lieutenants — who, in a cruel twist, is also his ancestor. The cost of this victory is immeasurable: Tokito’s life, the life of Genya Shinazugawa (who also contributes to Kokushibo’s fall), and nearly the life of Sanemi, Genya’s older brother. As dawn nears, the final confrontation with Muzan unfolds like a nightmare. All remaining Hashira throw themselves at the unkillable beast. Mitsuri Kanroji and Obanai Iguro fight side by side, knowing it is the end. Both die after exhausting their bodies to the brink and beyond. Gyomei Himejima, the Stone Hashira, loses his life too — not before proving that he was perhaps the strongest among them. Every minute they buy is a step closer to sunlight — the only true weapon against Muzan. Muzan, monstrous and desperate, attempts to escape the morning light by fusing into Tanjiro’s body. For a moment, it seems like he might succeed in cheating death. But Tanjiro, even in the depths of that corruption, fights back from within. It is not just strength that saves him, but the memory of his family, his friends, and the unbreakable thread of humanity he refuses to sever. With Nezuko — now fully human again — at his side, Tanjiro purges Muzan’s influence from his body. And so, Muzan Kibutsuji dies — not by a single blade, but by the collective will, sacrifice, and blood of countless people. His death marks the end of the demon age, but it leaves behind deep scars. Most of the Hashira are gone. Only a few remain to witness the sunrise. #TanjiroKilledHantengu #TanjiroKilledAkaza #TanjiroKilledMuzan #GiyuKilledRui #MitsuriAndObanaiKilledNakime #GyomeiSanemiGenyaMuichiroKilledKokushibo #MuichiroKilledGyokko #demonslayer #foryou #viral #anime #kimetsunoyaiba #kimetsunoyaiba #shortsfeed #shorts #fyp
