At 17, Devaraj Seval Kumar became homeless after his stepfather kicked him out in early 2021. After a failed stay with his biological father in a one-room flat, the ITE student turned to his social worker for help. This was how Devaraj met Clifford Lam, a recent divorcee who lived alone.
