Today’s task was surgical destruction: eliminate four Infested Towers scattered throughout the ruins of a once-massive mega city. Same streets, same broken skyline, same bugs pretending this place belongs to them. Operational conditions were familiar and unpleasant. Roving Shriekers circled overhead, SEAF units were active in the area, and the planet itself kept interfering. Frequent earthquakes stunned everything on the field, bugs and Helldivers alike, while extreme heat surges drained stamina and pushed weapons toward overheating at the worst possible times. And yes — Dragonroaches were back. Ugh. I mean… yay. I ran the AR-2 Coyote, wearing the I-44 Salamander heavy set for its 75% fire resistance, which continues to earn its keep on these burning city ruins. For support, I dropped in with the Eagle 500kg Bomb, LIFT-850 Jump Pack, LAS-99 Quasar Cannon, and the EXO-45 Patriot Exosuit. I was joined once again by the same squad from the previous two missions, and by this point we were moving like a proper unit. Coordination was solid, callouts were clean, and everyone knew their role. That didn’t stop reality from intervening — every one of us took at least one trip through the Clone Factory — but we kept pushing. We destroyed all four towers, cleared every side objective, and turned the area into a burning mess of collapsed structures and bug remains. The city may not look much different from orbit, but we left it smoldering all the same. Five stars earned, mission complete, and successful extraction across the board. We’re continuing to run the new Beta Slim Version of Helldivers 2, testing performance on the RTX 5090 and i7-14700K during these heavy-effect, large-scale engagements. Recorded on a dedicated PC with a capture card, played in 4K Ultra settings, with MSI Afterburner monitoring hardware throughout.
