Cleveland and Northeast Ohio weather forecast: Look for warmer days ahead

Here's your Cleveland weather forecast from 3News Senior Meteorologist Matt Wintz: After a stretch of cooler, comfortable weather, we'll begin to warm things up over the next few days bringing temps from below average to above average for this time of year. In terms of rainfall, we've gone dry over the last 3 weeks and a lot of area lawns and gardens could use a soaking. Unfortunately there's not much rain in the forecast...for now. Let's start with tonight where clouds will linger as a system stays just to our west. Temps will hold in the 50s overnight with the clouds helping to keep us from cooling too quickly. We'll dance around with filtered sunshine Wednesday with a few stray showers possible in our western counties. Temps will rebound nicely into the mid 70s. We'll head into the upper 70s for the rest of the week with a mix of sun and intervals of high clouds. No major storm system is expected across the eastern US through the extended so what we have is what we get through the weekend!
