Cleveland weather: Weekend rain chances are back in Northeast Ohio

Cleveland weather forecast for Thursday, October 12, 2023. Well, it's been an incredibly dreary Thursday across NE Ohio. A few showers even seen across the area...but overall those were few and far between. Your Thursday evening doesn't look too different either. Mostly cloudy skies hang around as temperatures drop near 50°. As we wrap up the workweek, we've got the chance to see a little sunshine! The start to your Friday will feature some sun and clouds. I think we hold onto partly cloudy skies through mid-day. Clouds really begin to increase through the late-afternoon/early evening. The clouds are a good ole heads up that something else is inbound...that would be rain. We've got a rain chance from late-Friday all the way through the middle of this upcoming week. Why is this all playing out? Well, we've got a pretty powerful area of low pressure headed our way. Decent downpours are expected throughout your Saturday and the winds will really begin to pick up. We may squeeze out a moment of some dry time closer to dinnertime...but models could and likely will shift the timing on this over the next 24 hours or so. If you're looking to make weekend plans...and you're considering outdoor plans at that...consider having an indoor plan instead. This area of low pressure moves eastward as the weekend goes on...but cooler air funnels in on the backside of this system leading to a lake effect scenario setting up for Sunday through early next weekend. Remember last weekend?? Think of doing that all over again. It'll be much cooler by the too. Near 60° for Saturday...but mid-50s by Sunday. Here is your 3-day Cleveland weather forecast. TONIGHT: Mostly cloudy skies. Near 50. FRIDAY: More AM sunshine with some clouds, clouds increase through the afternoon/evening, rain late. Low to mid 60s. SATURDAY: Rain likely with winds picking up. Around 60. READ MORE: https://www.wkyc.com/article/weather/...
