Another big thanks to the excellent Gazely Gaze channel for the original black & white upload of this and the information provided below: Videos filmed in Serge Gainsbourg's Paris home: 'La recette de l'amour fou', 'La fille du rasoir', 'L’eau à la bouche', and a brief instrumental 'Room 608' by his musicians. After whisky, creepy Serge tries to grab Valérie Lagrange's knee but she's not interested. The musicians are Elek Bacsic (cousin of Django Reinhardt) and Michel Gaudry. Filmed in 1964, broadcast May 30th. 0:00 'La recette de l'amour fou' is a song from his 1958 debut album, 'Du chant à la une !...' 1:58 'Room 608' was written by Horace Silver who released it in 1955; Elek's version came in 1964. 3:16 'La fille du rasoir' is from 'Gainsbourg Confidentiel' in 1963. 5:30 'L'eau à la bouche' is Serge's title-song of a 1960 French film directed by Jacques Doniol-Valcroze and starring Françoise Brion, Bernadette Lafont and Alexandra Stewart. It was released as a soundtrack 7" EP, but didn't appear on a Serge album until 1968, on his album with Brigitte Bardot, 'Bonnie and Clyde'. Five years after this was filmed, Serge moved into another apartment, number five bis Rue de Verneuil, until his death in 1991. Now in 2022 his daughter Charlotte Gainsbourg has opened the untouched house as a museum of Serge. Here's their website: https://www.maisongainsbourg.fr/en/ex...
